Catching up

ODDS & ENDS
• I learned how to find GPS coordinates from a Google/Mapquest/MapPoint map! I’m at latitude 38.633 longitude -90.2028. Vital information, I’m sure.
• I also found out you can trade in an iPod. After less than a year, mine was d-e-a-d, and the genius at the genius bar couldn’t revive it. (Shouldn’t a genius bar serve drinks?) So a new iPod was necessary. It’s so bright and shiny … Let’s hope it stays that way.
• I love reading predictions. These from 1900 are quite interesting.
• Speaking of predictions … lifecasting seems a bit much. But then I’m sure the same has been said of blogging and the Web and so many other things. This prediction says everyone will be lifecasting in two years.
• Beer vending machines! I wonder what workplace rules are on something like this …
• Ross the Intern at the CMT awards! Ross has also started vlogging. Or, um, a “talky blog.”
• Another great YouTube find: Joey and David. From Munster, Ind. I know, I was surprised too.
• I do this too — and not just with teen deaths. Speaking of which, the Post-Dispatch is just now doing a MyDeathSpace story. The Times did that at least a year ago … (It seems odd that MyDeathSpace offers a “premium membership.”)
• Shut the front door indeed.
• I’m not sure which is sadder: The digital breakup, or the fact that this guy was so slow to catch on.
• Kevin found Smack Talk last week. I still haven’t tried it though.
• Missouri loves company!
