Tribune, Gannett to launch more Metromix sites

As announced via Twitter earlier (because I had no Internet service at home), Tribune and Gannett are teaming up to create Metromix sites in 30 markets. Metromix is now available in Chicago (the original), New York, Los Angeles, South Florida, Orlando, Baltimore, Connecticut (the entire state, I guess?) and Hampton Roads, Va.

No word on where the new Metromix sites will be. Gannett has several properties; most of Tribune’s major properties already have Metromix sites.

A Metromix-type system is kind of the basis for my dream newspaper network — more on that later.
