Orlando tells story on many fronts
Great coverage from the Orlando Sentinel on a 70-car pileup that has killed three people on Interstate 4. They revamped their homepage; are constantly updating their Twitter feed and breaking-news blog; are soliciting photos, videos and stories from people who were there; and are telling people how to get around since I-4 is closed. The only thing I’m missing is a map showing where the accidents and deaths happened and explaining the circumstances. I should have known that Bill Couch and Tory Hargro were on top of that — they explained how it happened and why.
Many papers could learn many things from Orlando’s approach to the story.

Nice photo but I think the headline readout needs to be corrected to read ‘Four fatalities” instead of “4 fatalities.” Numbers one though nine are spelled out in news copy, no?
