Missouri governor makes announcement via YouTube
Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt announced on Tuesday afternoon that he will not run for re-election. There will be a lot of discussion about why, but let’s talk about the how: Blunt made his announcement on a video he posted on YouTube.
The governor’s YouTube account was created two weeks ago. The oldest video — supporting the state’s HealthNet program — was posted on Jan. 10. The most recent (before Tuesday’s video) was the State of the State address (at nearly an hour long), added Jan. 15.
Is YouTube the new press conference?
