Recycle your newspaper
I saw this quote on a blog that I frequently read:
“If every American recycled just one newspaper a week, about 36 million trees a year would be spared. Making recycled newspaper takes half as much energy as producing virgin newsprint.” –Workman
I haven’t found the original source, but doesn’t that mean every American would need to have a newspaper a week?
(One of the Post-Dispatch’s photography editors was surprised when I said I do not subscribe to the paper. That’s right, I don’t subscribe. I have the Internet.)
This also reminds me of the green blog/site I wanted to propose for work. It might make a little more/just as much sense as printing 40-page quarterly “living green” special sections.
