New role for 2 in Media Center

Kerry Erickson assumes the role of Night Editor at The Times effective today. Kerry is a strong newswoman who brings a wealth of experience in copy editing, writing, online posting and staff management. Supporting her will be Tony Parker. He assumes the position of Assistant Night Editor.

Please extend your congratulations and cooperation to them. BILL

Two others were promoted on Friday.

Updated 07.15.2008: A staff meeting on July 21 may clear up some of the questions. Or, in typical Times fashion, may not.
