Newspapers that Twitter: I give up
I give up — I just can’t keep track of 1,360 Twitter accounts anymore. I tried, I swear, but it’s just too much to juggle (especially if newspapers insist on continuing the layoffs). The number of newspapers who use Twitter has grown substantially over the past year, that much is clear. So here are the newspapers that are using Twitter, with their Twitter accounts.

Erica, it was an excellent list and an awesome effort. Thanks for doing it all this time. Here’s to hoping that “Paper Cuts” isn’t needed anymore soon.

Aww, man! :)
Thanks for all of the work.
This has been a great resource. I’m sorry you had to give it up. I hope you know how much it has been appreciated.

Hi, Erica:
Then why not turn this into a wiki? I have two student (University of Washington) projects that would be happy to take on the admin work. The page(s) would be on WetPaint.
Send me a note if you’re OK with us scraping the content.
All we would ask is that you put a link at the top announcing where the list is being kept up to date.
Here, here for a Wiki. I also have students (from the CUNY J-School) who can help if needed. How about using PBWiki? Let me know!
I agree — I’ve been thinking that a wiki would be ideal for this! I know of some more Twitter accounts to add, too!
Erica, Drew … I set up an account at WetPaint (local to Seattle). My undergrad students are analyzing newspaper use of social media this quarter. :-)
