Vote for Overheard in the Newsroom
Today is my birthday. Please, there’s no need to sing. All I really want is for you to help Overheard in the Newsroom win Mashable’s Open Web Award in the “best site for journalists” category.
That’s not too much, is it?
Overheard in the Newsroom is a project my friend Kevin started almost a year ago. It’s a collection of the best quotes heard in newsrooms around the world. (Even know-it-all media blogs recognize the genius of Overheard in the Newsroom — yesterday Gawker highlighted an “overheard” in one of its posts.) So to be one of the five finalists in Mashable’s contest, and have thousands of followers on Twitter and Facebook (where Kevin carefully picks and post the best from the blog — no RSS nonsense here, folks) is quite an accomplishment.
Now about voting. It’s so easy Kevin’s grandmother can do it:
Vote now. (Just follow that link; all of the hard work is done for you.) Vote often. (Every day through Dec. 13.) And help spread the word.
